The Department receives referrals on an inpatient and outpatient basis and works closely with ARU in providing a service to outpatients. There is a Generic Rehabilitation Assistant scheme based in the Department, jointly managed by Physios and O/Ts, which enables patients to reach their full potential in their own home with the assistance of trained rehabilitation assistants, thus helping to reduce patient's length of stay in hospital.
