Are there any time limits on when I can make a complaint?
You should make your complaint within 6 months of the date of the incident or within 12 months if there are reasons why you should not make the complaint earlier.
The NHS will not usually investigate a complaint made outside of these time limits, although these may be waived if there are good reasons for the delay.
